Coinstar Deskside Support Technician (contract) in Bellevue, Washington

Position Overview;

This position contributes to Coinstar’s success by providing responsive and high quality technical support. This role works directly with end-users in person, over the phone or through email gathering information, evaluating options, and resolving technical problems with computer hardware and software.

Key Responsibilities;

-Provide exceptional service to personal computer users, and achieve service level objectives for responding to and resolving PC hardware and software Assistance Requests

-Install and configure PC hardware and software. Complete PC hardware maintenance and basic repairs

-Resolve PC hardware and software problems

-Initiate improvements to raise the quality and efficiency of service to end users

-Assist with documenting processes and procedures

-Track software licenses to assure Coinstar’s complete compliance with software license requirements

-Escalate problems to next level of support when necessary

-Assist with special projects

-Willingness to update skills and knowledge as new technologies and/or applications are introduced to the company

Education & Experience;

-High School Diploma or GED required

-College AA Computer Science degrees preferred

-2+ years of experience identifying and resolving PC related problems, in support of Windows and Microsoft Office products

-1+ years of experience with networked PC setup and installation

-License/certificates – A+ preferred

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities;

-Excellent problem solving skills to identify, clarify, prioritize, and resolve IT issues

-Ability to build and maintain positive user relationships

-Knowledge of networking concepts

-Knowledge of Microsoft Windows 7 and 10, and Microsoft Office products

-Good written and oral communications skills

-Self-directed, able to work with minimal supervision


-Tablet hardware, experience.
