Position Overview

The Asset Protection Coordinator is responsible for protecting the company’s assets through a variety of Loss Prevention, Fleet, and Facility functions. This position acts as a support role in assisting Global Asset Protection leadership in the monitoring of kiosk variances (domestically and internationally), basic reporting, badge access, fleet administrative duties, incident triage, and building safety and security. The Asset Protection Coordinator contributes to the guest and employee experience throughout the building.

Key Responsibilities;

-Supports the Corporate Investigator in monitoring variance activity and trends domestically and internationally.

-Supports facilities in accommodation requests, safety, and security.

-Supports the risk and compliance with administrative reporting.

-Processes law enforcement requests.

-Initiates investigative workflow and coordination.

-Supports internal and external investigators in organized criminal investigations.

-Identifies 3 rd party variances, files claims, and coordinates payment/credits.

-Facilitates access control and CCTV system operation.

-Builds relationships with property management and facilities vendors.

-Provides basic and accurate information in-person and via phone/email while maintaining confidentiality.

-Receives, sorts and distributes daily mail/deliveries.

-Maintains office security by following safety procedures and controlling access via the reception desk (VMS).

-Performs other clerical duties such as filing, photocopying, transcribing and faxing.

-Inventories, orders and stocks office and Café supplies as assigned.

-Maintains the coffee and soda machines and restocks dispensers on a daily basis.

-Performs facility related tasks and activities as assigned.

Education & Experience;

-High school diploma or equivalent, BA/BS in relevant field preferred.

-2+ years of direct experience in retail loss prevention.

-1+ year administrative experience in loss prevention, access control, badging, and CCTV desired.

-Hands-on experience with office equipment (e.g. fax machines and printers).

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities;

-Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

-Solid communication and customer service skills.

-Strong multi-tasking, time management, organizational, and prioritization skills.

Security-minded and able to effectively handle confidential information.

-Uses good judgment to seek assistance when necessary to do so given the task or situation encountered.

-Ability to be resourceful and proactive when issues arise.

-Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

-Possesses the ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.

Business Travel;

-This position requires little to no business travel.

Physical Requirements;

Work involves time in front of a computer, using a keyboard, mouse and telephone. Occasionally moving about the work site to access file cabinets and to use other office equipment, etc. Regularly positions oneself (e.g., stand, walk, stoop, bend, twist, kneel, crouch) to handle or move objects weighing up to 60 lbs. or, on occasion, team lift objects weighing up to 75 lbs. Occasionally ascends or descends stairs or ladders. Communicates and exchanges information with co-workers and other individuals in person or electronically. Regularly operates facilities equipment such as hand trucks, power tools and hand tools. Occasional local driving may be necessary.
