Position Overview;

The Manager of Vendor Performance is responsible for procuring, managing and supporting transportation vendors, to ensure the services they provide continually enhance the company brand through positive customer interactions and experience, process improvement as well as vendor adherence to contractual Key Performance Indicators such Service Levels and Quality.

Key Responsibilities;

-Manage relationship(s) of the vendor(s) providing services and technologies.

-Identify opportunities for continual improvement to operational processes and expenses as it relates to transportation service.

-Assist and participate in yearly operations planning processes and provides recommendations for efficiency gains.

-Prepare and submits RFPs and work with vendors on submissions, assisting with rate negotiations, as well as developing service terms and conditions for vendors.

-Manage vendors to achieve specified performance goals per statement of work; ensures corrective actions are developed when performance does not meet target and that the corrective actions result in performance improvements.

-Interface effectively with, and support, the Field Operations teams and other relevant internal teams to ensure operating efficiencies/standards.

-Periodically monitor calls to ensure adherence to company policies and procedures and a positive end-user experience.

-Conduct annual site level contract adherence audits.

-Serve as the primary contact for issue notification, escalation, and resolution in day to day operations including monitoring of key performance indicators.

-Review and approve invoicing.

-Partner with cross-functional departments to make recommendations on current policies and procedures as well as day to day process improvement.

Education & Experience;

-Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required.

-8+ years’ experience in an operations environment, preferably with transportation operations, as a Vendor Manager, Logistics Transportation Manager, Transportation Manager or related role

-5+ years’ supervisory experience is highly preferred.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities;

-Proficiency in Microsoft Office Software including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

-Strong leadership and management skills to manage customer service contract and vendor relationship.

-Knowledge of call center technology preferred.

-Ability to work in high activity/pace environment.

-Analytical skills to interpret trends, identify root causes form conclusions and/or recommendations.

-Versatility and flexibility to respond and adapt quickly and effectively to multiple changing priorities.

-Ability to manage and interface with vendors at multiple levels in the organization.

-Excellent oral and written communication skills required.

Business Travel;

-Ability to travel domestic/international 25%.

Physical Requirements;

Sedentary work involves remaining in a stationary position most of the time in front of a computer, using a keyboard, mouse and telephone. Regularly operate a computer and other office equipment. Occasionally move about the work site to access file cabinets, office equipment, etc. Exert up to 10 lbs. of force occasionally, and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or regularly move objects. Communicate and exchange information with co-workers and other individuals in person and electronically.
